Helpful homeschooler

Home schooling hugh this term has not been as intense as i had hoped due to the fire displacing up somewhat. We are still getting on with it and really enjoying each other company. We aim to spend the mornings doing lessons and the afternoon doing more practical activities such as walks, gardening, experiments or games. A whole new hugh has emerged who is quieter and really helpful. He is making efforts to clean up after himself and even offering to do dishes.g feel like our bond is growing as we work together. I'm still finding my feet as teacher but this has been the best time i have spent with hugh. If still turns into a over active little monkey at bed time though.

Elizabeth performing arts

Elizabeth had her performing arts class performance last night. She impressed us with her singing, dancing and acting. She smiled throughout and proved it would take more than a house fire to get her down. Its been great to see her confidence building through this church activity. She lover the singing and often does performanes at good for up. Well done Elle you did great!

Temp accomodation number 2

I'm feelin a little homeless having to keep moving house but at least we are close to home. This place is just 2 doors from our place makin it nice and easy for me to still see to the chickens, pigs and cats. I'm still managing to keep moving on the garden. We bought 12 vines from a vine yard for an amazing $50 which have framed up the front garden and john has put in drip irrigation to them. Our raised vegetable beds have arrived, been assembled and await filling and planting out. A few more fruit and out trees have also gone in. Its a great feelin to see my tiny patch slowly turning into the worlds smallest homestead. We are also feeling more a part me the community as people have dropped by to see if we are ok and to offer any help we may need. Its nice to find ourselves in a community where people still look out for each other even the crazy new comer who keeps chickens in her garden bye walks the dogs in her pj's.
